Hindu stele carved in bas-relief. Limestone stele depicting a kneeling Indian deity, possibly Lakshmi, facing two worshippers. Lakshmi is shown on the left, larger than her subjects. Her round face is characterized by semicircular brow ridges above large, almond-shaped eyes, her gaze directed downwards. Her snub nose sits above a small mouth. She wears a large, tiered headdress and is richly adorned with large earrings and several bracelets. A triple-strand necklace rests on her chest. Hindu art, medieval India, 12th/14th century. Dimensions: height 29.8 cm - width 24.2 cm - weight 4.9 kg. Good condition - slight restoration to the lower part.
