ROMAN GLASS OENOCHOE

Roman pitcher with a green glass handle, decorated in relief. The body is square, each face is decorated in relief.
The molded walls are decorated with palm trees, crossbars and various geometric patterns.
A large vertical loop folded at the top connects the shoulder to a flared, hemmed lip.
This jug was probably part of a dinner service.
Roman/Byzantine period, Levant, 4th/6th century AD.
Dimensions: height 12.6 cm x width 6.7 cm.
This oinochoe is completely intact. No restoration has been done.
The vase will be supplied with a copy of the export license issued by the German cultural authorities.
