Gothic Limestone Sculpture of a Bearded Man
Limestone head depicting a bearded middle-aged man wearing a flat hat.
Her eyes are prominent with rimmed eyelids, her mouth is narrow and slightly open. Her hair is curly and short, gathered under a flat headdress in the shape of a beret (this type of beret-like hairstyle is attested from the Middle Ages, notably by sculptures in the church of Notre-Dame de Bellocq, built in the 13th century).
Patinated limestone, showing signs of wear. The head is in excellent condition and has not undergone any restoration.
