Egyptian museum ceramic sculpture of the god Harpocrates.
A rich composition depicting the god Harpocrates leaning on an altar, his hand resting on the goddess Hathor represented in the form of a cow whose horns encircle a solar disk.
He stands, slightly swaying his hips, beside an amphora. He is dressed in a long tunic and wears an imposing honeycomb headdress surmounted by a pschent crown. To the left of the altar are a handled pot and a large round dish.
A high-quality piece, the details are numerous and precise.
Height 21.7 cm (22.7 cm with the base) - width 15.6 cm
Egypt, probably Alexandria - Greco-Roman period, 332/30 BC.
