Chinese bronze vase from the Ming dynasty
Vase in the shape of a roll, with a narrow neck which then flares out widely.
The body is decorated with an archaic design of toaties in relief on three registers, the base is partially openwork and three feet are decorated with a design of chimeras in relief.
China, Ming period, 16th/17th century
Beautiful dark patina - Height 18.6 cm - Width 6.3 cm
Very good condition - no restoration - some minor deformations at the neck
Underneath the base, an old label refers to a Christie's London sale on 17/10/1983
